Accessibility

Statement

This accessibility statement applies to Postgraduate Education Centre website found at www.dgftpec.co.uk

This website has ‘One Click Accessibility’ plugin software which allows users different functionality to support accessibility of the site.

This website is run by the RGUC Digital Media Team, part of The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

Change colours and contrast levels

Increase text size and alter the font style

listen to most of the website using a screen reader

change the colour of the background

underline links so they are clear

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand. The One Click Accessibility functionality gives these functions to the user and is available as a collapsible menu on all pages.

Technical information about this website’s accessibility

We are committed to making this website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed below.

Disproportionate burden

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

PDFs and other documents

Some of our PDFs and Word documents are essential to providing our services. For example, we have PDFs showing useful information on how users can apply for different medical training or learn about curriculum information. The majority of the PDFs included have been created by third party websites, which this website is linking to. We will endeavour to link to resources on accessible HTML pages where possible.

Any new PDFs or Word documents we publish will intend to meet accessibility standards.

Pre-recorded audio and video published before 23 September 2020 is also outside the scope of the requirements. Any audio or video published after this date will be compliant.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

Following an accessibility audit we are working to update elements of the website, so they address any outstanding accessibility actions.
